Yentna Station Roadhouse

Salmon fishing, snowmachine riding, dogsledding, and more - welcome to the real Alaska!

Welcome!

Experience a traditionally Alaskan rural, rustic, and slower pace of life with the Gabryszaks, a true Alaskan family who have been on the river since 1981 - when they carved a home out of the wilderness with a chainsaw, duct tape, and hard-headedness.

Yentna Station is a rustic semi-remote Alaska Salmon Fishing Lodge, located on the Yentna River ~40 miles from the nearest road. The “roadhouse” lacks a road so you can't get there by car; depending on the season the options are boat, snowmachine, bush plane, or dogsled.

The rustic rural lodge is open year round to support the myriad winter and summer recreation activities that the Alaskan wilderness offers. To that end, our services include a bed & breakfast, cabins that can be rented nightly or weekly, a restaurant, vehicle fueling station, boat/snowmachine repairs, telephone and emergency services.

Lodging includes simple bedrooms inside the main lodge, or cabin space for additional privacy. Hot running water (uncommon in the bush), electricity, TV, internet via satellite for those that wish to stay connected, and indoor facilities / outdoor traditional outhouse complete the package.

Alaska's Yentna Station Roadhouse is family owned, operated, and oriented, so children are always welcome. We hope you will visit us.

Alaskan Getaway

True to their own love of the Alaskan wilderness, the Lodge provides opportunities for many types of Alaskan recreation:

  1. guided sport fishing experiences for King and Silver salmon throughout the summer,
  2. snowmachining (Alaskan jargon for snowmobiling)
  3. dog mushing (aka dogsledding)
  4. hunting
  5. shooting
  6. XC skiing and mountain biking
  7. peace and quiet far from city life
  8. wildlife and Denali (Mt. McKinley) sighting
  9. flightseeing
  10. and more.

Salmon Fishing

Our Salmon Fishing Lodge has a unique central location on the Yentna River that allows our experienced guides to fish for all five species of Alaskan salmon: King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Reds, Chums, and Pinks. We are happy to arrange your flights from Anchorage, or find adventurous arrangements via boat.

Visit our Fishing / Summer page for more information.

Winter Recreation

It doesn't have to be summer for a visit. In fact, the winter opens up a lot more recreation and the lodge comes alive.

Snowmachiners, dog mushers, cross country skiers, mountain bikers, and helicopter and bush-plane pilots can find a place to warm up, eat, refuel, socialize, and relax at the Yentna Station Roadhouse.
