AK's
Yentna Station Roadhouse is famous for offering a wide variety
of outdoor winter activities, with many visitors snow machining
to the Lodge from Anchorage via trails from Big Lake, Pt. MacKenzie,
and Willow. These trails are part of the world renowned Iditarod
Sled Dog Race and lead from the Lodge all the way to Nome, Alaska,
on the Bering Sea, a distance of approximately 1049 miles. For
the not so adventurous, we keep an airstrip maintained for ski
planes. Come out to snow machine, mush, skijor, cross-country
ski, ice fish, or to just kick back and enjoy the serenity of
the pristine Alaskan winter wilderness. You can also watch various
kinds of snow machine, dog, and human powered races from the comforts
of the Lodge.
